Claude Code integrates with iMessage, enabling local programming Agent control via mobile phone

Odaily News Anthropic Claude Code team member Thariq Shihipar announced that iMessage is now available as a communication channel for Claude Code. After installing the plugin on a Mac, users can send commands from their iPhone or other Apple devices to a locally running Claude Code session. Claude will execute the commands locally and return the results via iMessage. This functionality is achieved by reading the macOS Messages database and utilizing AppleScript, operating without reliance on external services. Currently in the research preview stage, it requires Claude Code version v2.1.80 or higher.
