Bill to Restrict Trump's War Powers Again Blocked in U.S. Senate
Odaily News According to a vote in the U.S. Senate on the 24th, a bill aimed at preventing President Trump from launching further military action against Iran without congressional approval was blocked. The Senate vote that day resulted in 47 votes in favor and 53 against, failing to pass the bill. The vote outcome was almost entirely along party lines, with all Republicans voting against except for Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul, and all Democrats voting in favor except for Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman. This marks the third time since the joint U.S.-Israel military strike against Iran in late February that the Senate has failed to pass a bill intended to restrict Trump's authority to use military force regarding Iran.
