Odaily News AI video editing app Captions' parent company Mirage has completed a $75 million growth funding round, with capital coming from General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund. Mirage has transitioned from the "Captions" brand to become an AI lab focused on self-developed models, targeting the advertising and marketing industries, and switched to a freemium model in January 2025. Data shows that Captions has been downloaded over 3.2 million times in the past year, with in-app revenue of approximately $28.4 million, and has cumulatively generated over 200 million videos. The funds will be used for business growth and expanding into the Asian market. (TechCrunch)
