U.S. Media: U.S. Sending Three Warships and Thousands of Troops to the Middle East
Odaily News U.S. officials have revealed that the Pentagon is deploying three warships and thousands of additional Marine Corps personnel to the Middle East, even as President Trump insists he will not send U.S. troops into Iran. According to officials, the "BOXER" amphibious ready group from California and approximately 2,200 to 2,500 Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are heading to U.S. Central Command. This command oversees all U.S. military forces in the Middle East. This marks the second large-scale Marine deployment within the past week.
