Anchorage Launches Institutional-Grade Collateral Management Service, Expanding Atlas Platform Capabilities
Odaily News: Cryptocurrency custodian Anchorage Digital announced the launch of a collateral management service on its institutional platform, Atlas, further expanding its institutional credit infrastructure.
The service supports 24/7 real-time monitoring of collateral assets and provides features such as automatic margin calls. It is applicable to various digital asset collateral scenarios, including secured loans, convertible bonds, over-the-counter derivatives, structured products, and warehouse financing.
Collateral management primarily refers to the management, monitoring, and risk control of assets used as collateral in financial transactions. Anchorage stated that its solution stores collateral assets within a **regulated, segregated, and bankruptcy-remote** custody framework to enhance security.
Furthermore, Anchorage will act as a "triparty agent," responsible for handling operational and management processes between trading parties, thereby reducing operational complexity and risk for institutions in credit businesses.
Company CEO Nathan McCauley stated that as the institutional credit market continues to evolve, this service will provide institutions with more comprehensive risk management infrastructure.
