Libra Token Scandal Involves $5 Million Payment Agreement, Argentine President Milei Allegedly Linked
Odaily News According to a previously undisclosed document extracted by forensic investigators from the phone of intermediary Mauricio Novelli, a payment agreement related to the Libra token scam involves a total of $5 million, primarily pointing to Argentine President Javier Milei. The document shows the agreement was divided into three payments: an initial $1.5 million (in tokens or cash) as an advance; a second $1.5 million contingent upon Milei announcing Hayden Davis as his advisor on social media; and a final $2 million to be paid after Milei and his sister, Karina Milei, sign an in-person contract regarding blockchain or AI government consulting. The document was created on February 11, 2025, three days before Milei posted the related tweet that sparked the $LIBRA controversy. The report also stated that Kelsier Ventures CEO Hayden Davis had met with the Milei siblings at the Argentine presidential palace before the incident. The document is reportedly from the technical investigation unit of the Argentine prosecutor's office, obtained through forensic examination of relevant devices, and has now become a key piece of evidence in the local "crypto scandal" investigation.
