National Cybersecurity Notification Center Issues OpenClaw Security Risk Warning
Odaily News: According to monitoring data from the National Network and Information Security Information Notification Center, there are currently over 200,000 active OpenClaw internet assets globally, with approximately 23,000 active OpenClaw internet assets within China, showing explosive growth. These are mainly concentrated in internet resource-intensive regions such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, and Jiangsu. A large number of OpenClaw assets exposed to the internet pose significant security risks and are highly susceptible to becoming prime targets for cyberattacks. Among these risks, the behavior of agents is uncontrollable, making management and control difficult. OpenClaw agents are prone to permission control failures during instruction execution, leading to unauthorized task execution and disregard for user commands. This could result in scenarios such as deleting user data, stealing user information, or taking over user terminal devices, causing substantial economic losses. (Jin10)
