"Lobster Installation Craze" Drives Up Prices and Causes Shortages in Related Hardware Equipment Market
Odaily News As the popularity of the OpenClaw AI agent continues to soar, the "lobster installation craze" has also led to price increases and shortages in the related hardware equipment market. A reporter observed at a second-hand equipment wholesale stall in Shenzhen's Huaqiangbei Electronics World that within just 20 minutes, five or six groups of customers came to inquire about hardware devices compatible with the OpenClaw installation environment. One consumer explained: "I came all the way from Guizhou today specifically to buy the host box for installing the 'lobster'. I've visited several stores, but they are all out of stock, and the prices keep rising." The reporter visited multiple second-hand wholesalers, and the response was consistently one of shortage. "There are quite a few people asking, but the key issue is there's no stock. It used to be over 3,000 yuan, and now it seems the price has increased by about 1,000 yuan." (CCTV Finance)
