Starknet to Launch STRK20 Framework, Supporting Privacy Stablecoins and Privacy DeFi Asset Issuance

Odaily News Ethereum Layer 2 network Starknet has announced the upcoming launch of a new framework called STRK20, designed to support the issuance of privacy stablecoins and other privacy assets while addressing compliance requirements. The framework, developed by StarkWare, is expected to go live on Starknet later this year. It is reported that the STRK20 framework aims to provide token-level privacy for assets on Starknet, keeping transaction amounts and account balances confidential while remaining compatible with decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. It is also anticipated to be applicable to the ERC-20 asset standard, thereby enabling most Ethereum fungible tokens to leverage this privacy capability and support use cases such as private DeFi.
