Supreme People's Procuratorate Work Report: 3,259 Individuals Prosecuted in 2025 for Money Laundering Crimes Involving Virtual Currency and Underground Banks

Odaily According to the Supreme People's Procuratorate Work Report delivered by Procurator General Ying Yong to the Fourth Session of the 14th National People's Congress, efforts against money laundering were intensified in 2025, resulting in the prosecution of 3,259 individuals for money laundering crimes involving virtual currency and underground banks. Additionally, 69,000 individuals were prosecuted for telecom and online fraud crimes in accordance with the law.
