IEA Director: G7 Meeting Discusses All Available Options, Including Releasing Emergency Oil Reserves

Odaily News According to IEA Director Fatih Birol, all available options were discussed at the G7 meeting, including releasing the IEA's emergency oil reserves to the market. IEA member countries currently hold over 1.2 billion barrels of public emergency oil reserves. Additionally, IEA member countries hold an extra 600 million barrels of commercial crude oil inventories at the request of their governments. (Jin10)
