When asked by CNBC about when the tariff would be increased to 15%, Besant responded, "Most likely at some point this week." Last month, after the Supreme Court invalidated most of Trump's previous tariff system, he implemented a 10% universal levy. Besant noted that the authorization period for the new tariffs is only 150 days.
