BitMEX Co-Founder Pledges £20 Million Donation to UK Institute of Mathematics and Physics

Odaily News BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo has pledged up to £20 million to the London Institute for Mathematical Sciences (Lims). The donation includes an initial £10 million contribution, along with an additional £10 million matching fund commitment, aimed at supporting the institute's goal of raising a £60 million endowment fund. Ben Delo was previously fined for violating the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act and later received a pardon from Donald Trump. His donation has already been used to fund a research fellowship position at Lims. The institute is dedicated to providing an independent research environment, focusing on fundamental scientific fields such as quantum field theory and string theory.
