Kalshi CEO: Opposes Profiting from Individual Deaths, Will Refund Fees for "Khamenei's Resignation" Related Market

Odaily News Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour posted on X regarding the death of Khamenei and related prediction market events, stating: "We will not list markets that are directly tied to death. When a market could potentially result in death, we design rules to prevent people from profiting from death."

Therefore, Kalshi will take the following actions regarding the event related to "Khamenei stepping down as Supreme Leader":

1. All fees for this market will be refunded;

2. If users opened positions before Khamenei's death, settlement will be based on the last trading price before Khamenei's death;

3. If users opened positions after Khamenei's death, the full cost will be compensated.

Tarek Mansour added: "No user will lose a single dollar in this market. We will settle the market based on the last traded price before Khamenei's death, which was at 1:14 AM Eastern Time today."
