Wikipedia Co-founder: Bitcoin May Struggle to Become Dominant Currency, Price Could Fall Below $10,000 by 2050

Odaily News Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales stated on social media that while the view that Bitcoin will "go to zero" is likely inaccurate, its long-term price prospects remain uncertain.

He pointed out that the Bitcoin network is relatively robust in its design and could continue to operate unless extreme scenarios such as major cryptographic vulnerabilities or 51% attacks occur. However, he believes Bitcoin may not necessarily achieve dominance as a currency or store of value.

Based on this assessment, Wales indicated that by 2050, the Bitcoin price could potentially fall to a level below $10,000 in present value terms, or even lower.
