Dragonfly Partner and Former Co-founder Engage in Public Dispute, Both Sides Present Conflicting Accounts Regarding Early History and Investment Leadership
Odaily News Dragonfly Managing Partner Haseeb Qureshi and former co-founder Alexander Pack (now co-founder of Hack VC) recently engaged in a public debate on social media.
Haseeb posted a retrospective on his experience building the venture capital firm, stating that Dragonfly's early brand and systems were not yet established and that its development and scaling occurred gradually after he joined. In response, Alexander Pack countered, stating that Dragonfly had been co-founded by him and Feng Bo for over a year before Haseeb joined, and had already committed to leading investments in projects such as Bybit, Amber Group, and Crusoe. He also noted that the announcements for the relevant funds predated Haseeb's employment.
Haseeb subsequently responded, claiming some of the other party's statements were inconsistent with the facts, and provided clarifications regarding the specific investment roles and decision-making processes for the projects. The two sides continued to debate around the company's founding stage and investment contributions.
