This action is due to X's recent policy tightening regarding paid promotions related to sports betting content. These badges previously served as a visible identifier for influencers and affiliate members who partnered with Kalshi to promote event contracts, signifying their official relationship with the platform, although they were not employees. X's product lead, Nikita Bier, had warned that accounts failing to disclose paid promotions with Kalshi would face suspension. In one interaction, Nikita Bier requested an account to specify in subsequent replies that it was a paid promotion for Kalshi, noting that undisclosed commercial relationships undermine user trust in authenticity. This policy change aligns with X's previous regulatory actions against crypto information platforms.
