Hong Kong Gold Exchange Announces Development of Digital Commodity Blockchain

Odaily News The Hong Kong Gold Exchange held its Bingwu Year New Year market opening ceremony yesterday. In his speech, HKGE Chairman Zhang Dexi stated that the HKGE has officially partnered with a member company of the Alibaba Group to develop a digital commodity blockchain, an international precious metals trading platform, and a clearing and settlement system. This aims to unify risk control, management, and regulatory systems for Hong Kong's spot, futures, digital gold, BtoC trading, actuarial center, and over-the-counter (OTC) markets. The construction is expected to be completed within six months, with the hope of connecting to the "Hong Kong Gold Central Clearing System" established by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
