According to informed sources, the company behind the Kimi chatbot initiated discussions for additional funding in late January to meet investor demand. This comes just about a month after the company completed a $500 million funding round at a $43 billion valuation. Sources stated that existing investors, including Alibaba, Tencent, and 5Y Capital, have already committed over $700 million in the first tranche of the latest funding round. (Jin10)
