Mallela had been with the bank for over a decade and was appointed to this position in 2024. A JPMorgan Chase & Co. spokesperson confirmed the departure and stated that the bank plans to appoint a successor as soon as possible. Kinexys is a JPMorgan Chase & Co. division that utilizes cryptographic technology to develop products and services for areas such as payments, with its platform handling daily transaction volumes of $5 billion. In November, the bank launched the JPM Coin deposit token for institutional clients, allowing users to send and receive funds via Base.
