Milan's term in his current position has expired, making this seat the only one President Trump could nominate his former Federal Reserve Governor Warsh for before appointing a Fed Chair. Unless Federal Reserve Chair Powell resigns from his position as a Fed Governor when his term as Chair expires in mid-May. Powell has not yet indicated his intentions regarding staying or leaving. In an interview, Milan stated: "The subsequent developments this year depend on multiple factors: whether a vacancy arises, the President's choice, and the Senate's confirmation decision."
