Bitwise CIO: BlackRock Plans to Tokenize iShares ETF, Discussions with SEC Ongoing

Odaily News: According to Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer of Bitwise, BlackRock is in discussions with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding plans to tokenize its iShares ETF products. BlackRock's Chief Financial Officer, Martin Small, stated that he could not determine whether this process would be completed within 90 days or 12 months. Matt Hougan commented that this could be one of the key narratives leading the market out of the bear market and expressed that it is very positive for both Layer 1 blockchains and the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector.
