Balancer Opens V2 Incident Whitehat Rescue Fund Claim Window, Duration 180 Days

Odaily News Balancer announced on platform X that the claim window for the whitehat rescue funds from the Balancer V2 incident on November 3, 2025, opened today and will last for 180 days. Users can check their eligible claim amount and, after signing the relevant terms, apply for the recovered tokens. The fund distribution method, as stipulated by BIP-892, allocates funds from each pool exclusively to that pool's liquidity providers, proportionally based on BPT holdings at the snapshot block. All cash payments are made in-kind with the actual tokens. Affected users must apply within the 180-day window. Assets not claimed by the deadline will become dormant, with their distribution to be decided by subsequent governance proposals. The investigation is still ongoing. Any funds recovered in the future may be distributed to affected users after undergoing Balancer's governance process.
