Goldman Sachs Reduces Holdings in Bitcoin and Ethereum Spot ETFs in Q4

Odaily News: According to the 13F filing submitted by Goldman Sachs to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, as of December 31, 2025, the institution held a total of 21.2 million shares across various Bitcoin spot ETFs, with a total value of approximately $1.06 billion, representing a 39.4% decrease in holdings compared to the third quarter. Simultaneously, the institution held approximately 40.7 million shares of Ethereum spot ETFs, valued at around $1 billion, marking a quarter-on-quarter decline of 27.2% in share count.

Furthermore, Goldman Sachs initiated new positions in XRP and Solana spot ETFs during the fourth quarter. By the end of last year, the institution held $152.2 million worth of XRP spot ETFs and $108.9 million worth of Solana spot ETFs. The cryptocurrency market experienced a broad decline in the fourth quarter of last year, with Bitcoin's price dropping from $114,000 at the end of September to around $88,400 by year-end, and Ethereum's price falling from $4,140 to $2,970.
