Cryptocurrency Market Sees Broad Decline, BTC Falls Below $70,000, ETH Drops Over 4%
According to data from SoSoValue, the cryptocurrency market sectors have once again shown a broad decline after a brief rebound. Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1.93% in 24 hours, dropping below $70,000, while Ethereum (ETH) declined 4.51%, falling to the $2,000 mark. Meanwhile, DeFi fell 3.81%, but River (RIVER) continued its rally for two consecutive days, rising another 29.23% in 24 hours.
In other sectors, the PayFi sector fell 2.12% in 24 hours, with Monero (XMR) showing relative resilience, up 1.93%; the CeFi sector declined 2.46%, but Aster (ASTER) rose 6.35%; the Layer2 sector fell 2.72%, with Starknet (STRK) down 4.93%; the Layer1 sector dropped 2.95%, while Canton Network (CC) saw an intraday increase of 0.58%; the Meme sector declined 2.96%, with PIPPIN (PIPPIN) surging significantly by 33.18%.
The cryptocurrency sector indices reflecting historical sector performance showed that the ssiMeme, ssiLayer1, and ssiDePIN indices fell by 4.00%, 3.88%, and 3.29%, respectively.
