Bitwise CIO: Bitcoin's Decline Influenced by Four-Year Cycle and AI Asset Preferences
Odaily News Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan stated on the ETF Edge program that the recent decline in Bitcoin is not caused by a single factor, with the four-year cycle being a primary downward catalyst. Matt Hougan pointed out that investors have recently shown a preference for assets like gold and AI stocks over cryptocurrencies. Additionally, the market has been affected by quantum risk and concerns regarding Kevin Warsh. Although Bitcoin's price once fell below $61,000, reaching a near 16-month low, Matt Hougan believes that Bitcoin's financialization process has not altered its supply scarcity. Currently, Bitwise manages assets exceeding $15 billion, and its Bitwise Solana Staking ETF has declined by approximately 57% since its launch last October.
