Illinois Proposes Bill to Establish State-Level Bitcoin Reserve

The bill aims to establish a state-operated program to hold Bitcoin through multi-signature cold storage, initially setting up the Altgeld Bitcoin Reserve. According to the bill, the reserved Bitcoin can only be traded or sold upon obtaining new legislative authorization.
