Vitalik comments on "ENS v2 will be fully deployed on Ethereum L1": A wise decision

Odaily News Vitalik commented on "ENS halts L2 Namechain development, v2 will be directly deployed on the Ethereum mainnet," stating: "This is a wise decision. ENS domain names and records are core state of the Ethereum ecosystem. I believe the best architecture for decentralized identity and social (I consider ENS to be in this space) is to store this per-user account and profile data on L1, and use specialized L2s (which could be much simpler than full EVM) to handle user actions (e.g., actions on social platforms)."
