CMC Releases January 2026 Exchange Reserve Rankings, Gate's Total Reserve Scale Remains at the Industry Forefront
According to CoinMarketCap's "January 2026 Mainstream Crypto Exchange Reserve Ranking Report," Gate's total reserve scale ranks among the top mainstream exchanges, placing fourth. The report indicates that Binance, OKX, Bybit, and Gate are positioned in the industry's first tier with their robust asset structures and high transparency.
The CMC report points out that from the perspective of reserve structure, Gate maintains a high reserve allocation ratio for assets beyond mainstream crypto tokens, reflecting a more diversified asset coverage structure. As the first major exchange to commit to 100% reserves, Gate pioneered the introduction of zero-knowledge proof technology, integrating multiple technical measures such as cold and hot wallet verification, Merkle tree structures, and user balance snapshots to ensure the authenticity and verifiability of asset reserves. As of January 6, 2026, Gate's overall reserve coverage ratio increased from 124% to 125%, with the total reserve value reaching $9.478 billion. This figure is significantly higher than the industry's 100% safety benchmark and can support nearly 500 different types of user assets.
