Zhu Su: Bitcoin OG Exits Are Not Bearish, Instead Strengthening Bitcoin's Long-Term "Monetary Attributes"

2026-02-03 04:53

Odaily News According to a post by Zhu Su, co-founder of Three Arrows Capital, the gradual exit of early Bitcoin holders (OGs) is not as pessimistic as it appears on the surface. He pointed out that since Bitcoin's price was still around $1, OGs have been continuously distributing their holdings, and each round of redistribution actually enhances Bitcoin's long-term health and "monetary nature."

Zhu Su stated that if Bitcoin had to rely on a single individual holding it long-term to sustain itself, it would have already failed; historically, there have been many early participants who successfully cashed out and retired when Bitcoin reached $1,000 in 2013. He also mentioned that MicroStrategy (MSTR) investors are essentially paying for Bitcoin exposure, and Michael Saylor is more like an "avatar" in this process, rather than the sole beneficiary.
