Gate Ventures Announces Strategic Investment in Mesh, Expanding into Crypto-Native Payment Infrastructure

According to official news, Gate Ventures, the venture capital arm of Gate, announced a strategic investment in the crypto payment network Mesh. Mesh is dedicated to building a unified payment connectivity layer, connecting wallets, exchanges, payment service providers, and fiat on/off-ramps through a single API to reduce the systemic complexity of crypto and fiat payments.

Gate Ventures stated that stablecoins and crypto-native payments are rapidly evolving into a new generation of financial infrastructure, but the industry remains highly fragmented. Mesh abstracts multiple payment rails into a unified payment layer, enabling seamless cross-ecosystem and cross-regional value transfer, demonstrating the potential to become critical infrastructure. Mesh aggregates wallets, exchanges, banks, on/off-ramps, and payment service providers, supporting crypto payments, fund deposits/withdrawals, and stablecoin settlements. It also provides secure, scalable execution capabilities for merchants, PSPs, and AI-driven automated trading scenarios.

Gate Ventures believes that Mesh's "connectivity-first" horizontal architecture, targeting the underlying layer of crypto payments, has the potential to play a core bridging role between traditional payment systems and the on-chain economy.
