CZ Responds to Multiple FUD Claims: Polymarket Incident Fabricated, Binance Did Not Sell Bitcoin

2026-02-03 00:18

Odaily News CZ recently addressed several circulating market rumors, stating that many of them are "overly imaginative FUD."

Regarding the so-called "$7 million betting incident on Polymarket," CZ stated that this event does not exist on Polymarket or any prediction market, and the related trading volume is also false information.

Concerning the rumor about "CZ canceling the supercycle," CZ clarified that he only said his "confidence is lower than before" and did not make a definitive judgment on the market cycle.

Addressing the claim that "Binance sold $1 billion worth of Bitcoin," CZ pointed out that the actual situation is that Binance users are selling Bitcoin, not Binance itself; changes in Binance wallet balances only occur when users withdraw funds.

Furthermore, in response to doubts about the lack of significant on-chain movement after the SAFU fund was converted to BTC, CZ stated that Binance had previously explained that the related operations would be completed gradually within 30 days. He added that the scale of this move is limited relative to Bitcoin's approximately $1.7 trillion market capitalization and is more of a confidence-building measure.

CZ concluded by saying that he will continue to focus on building and advancing related work.
