Epstein once refused to manipulate cryptocurrency prices due to ethical concerns
Odaily News According to newly unsealed documents disclosed by crypto journalist Kyle Torpey, in August 2018, Epstein stated in his communication with Bitcoin developer Jeremy that he had ethical concerns about manipulating cryptocurrency prices, and therefore refused to participate in related transactions. He said he would rather fund other projects but did not want to be publicly involved in any ethical controversies.
Furthermore, the documents also revealed an email sent by Brian Armstrong to investors in February 2016. In the email, Armstrong stated that Coinbase was pushing for a network upgrade behind the scenes to avoid being held back by "early idealists," and anticipated advancing a hard fork for 2MB blocks within the next one to two months. However, this hard fork ultimately did not materialize, with the last attempt being abandoned in the fall of 2017, as it was considered primarily driven by corporate interests and lacked support from community consensus.
