U.S. SEC: Currently Operating According to Shutdown Contingency Plan

Odaily News The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced via a post on the X platform that due to a lapse in appropriations and a (partial) government shutdown, the SEC is currently operating in accordance with its contingency plan for agency operations during a shutdown. Starting January 31, 2026, and until further notice, only a very limited number of staff will continue to work.
