U.S. Treasury Sanctions Crypto Trading Platforms Zedcex Exchange and Zedxion Exchange

Odaily News The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has sanctioned two digital asset trading platforms linked to Iranian businessman Babak Morteza Zanjani, namely Zedcex Exchange and Zedxion Exchange.

Since its registration in August 2022, Zedcex has processed over $94 billion in transactions. Multiple addresses associated with these two trading platforms have handled funds for wallets linked to Iranian officials. Additionally, OFAC has sanctioned several Iranian officials, including Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni Kalagari.
