Delphi Digital: Speculative Capital is Flowing from the Crypto Market to AI and Robotics

Research indicates that most altcoin sectors underperformed last year, with speculative capital accelerating its flow into verticals with exponential growth narratives such as AI and robotics.

Aurelie Barthere, Chief Research Analyst at Nansen, noted that beyond AI applications attracting capital, the repricing of expectations for Federal Reserve rate cuts leading to tighter liquidity for risk assets, along with the slow progress of the CLARITY Act amid political gridlock, have both weighed on crypto market sentiment. Data shows that robotics startups raised a cumulative $13.8 billion in 2025, reaching a record high. While cryptocurrency VC investment grew in 2025, it slowed significantly in December, dropping 77% month-over-month.
