Tether Officially Launches Federally Regulated Stablecoin USA₮
Odaily News Tether today officially launched USA₮, a stablecoin backed by the US dollar and regulated by the US federal government. The token was developed under the federal stablecoin framework established by the GENIUS Act and is issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, the first federally regulated stablecoin issuer in the United States. Bo Hines has been appointed as the CEO of Tether USA₮. Cantor Fitzgerald serves as the designated reserve custodian and preferred primary dealer. USA₮ is specifically designed for the US market and digital payment infrastructure, with initial launch platforms including Bybit, Crypto.com, Kraken, OKX, and Moonpay. Meanwhile, USD₮ will continue to operate globally. Currently, the Tether Group is the 17th largest holder of US Treasury bonds.
