Zhang Zhengwen Calls for Da Hongfei to Resign from NEO Ecosystem Leadership Position
Odaily News One of the co-founders of NEO, Zhang Zhengwen, stated in a post on January 26th that his latest meeting with Da Hongfei has concluded, but the outcome was "neither surprising nor pleasant."
Zhang Zhengwen claimed that during the talks, Da Hongfei once again proposed the so-called "limited cooperation," but failed to provide substantive solutions on any key issues. In response, he explicitly put forward three minimum requirements: first, to establish an effective and verifiable financial oversight and management mechanism; second, to abandon the EON project, which he believes directly competes with Neo; third, to authorize him to publish information through NEO's official website and official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Zhang Zhengwen stated that all three aforementioned requirements were explicitly rejected by Da Hongfei. Under these circumstances, he believes the other party has not demonstrated genuine sincerity for cooperation, nor has shown the willingness to drive substantial value enhancement for NEO.
Based on the judgment that NEO has been in continuous decline under his leadership in recent years, Zhang Zhengwen formally called for Da Hongfei to resign from his leadership position within the NEO ecosystem.
