Matcha Meta: SwapNet Security Incident Does Not Involve 0x Core Contracts, Direct Limit Setting Feature for Aggregator Removed
Odaily News Matcha Meta posted on X platform stating that it has noticed a security incident related to SwapNet. Some users who disabled "One-Time Approval" on Matcha Meta may have been affected. They have currently contacted the SwapNet team, which has temporarily disabled its contracts. After review with the 0x protocol team, it was confirmed that this incident does not involve 0x's AllowanceHolder or Settler core contracts. Users interacting with Matcha Meta via the one-time approval method can continue to use it safely. To prevent similar situations from recurring, the feature allowing users to directly set limits for the aggregator has been removed.
Previous news reported that SwapNet experienced a security vulnerability, resulting in the theft of approximately $16.8 million worth of cryptocurrency.
