Although the exact quantity lost has not been disclosed, sources within the prosecution service revealed that the missing amount is approximately 70 billion won, equivalent to about $48.55 million. It is reported that the assets were lost when the agency, in the process of managing the private keys for seized assets via mobile storage devices, mistakenly logged into a phishing website.
