Odaily News According to a recent routine inspection of seized assets from criminal cases by the Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office in South Korea, a significant amount of Bitcoin under custody was confirmed to be missing. Although the exact quantity lost has not been disclosed, sources within the prosecution service revealed that the missing amount is approximately 70 billion won, equivalent to about $48.55 million. It is reported that the assets were lost when the agency, in the process of managing the private keys for seized assets via mobile storage devices, mistakenly logged into a phishing website.
