2026-01-24 01:34

Odaily News: Blockchain security auditing firm CertiK is exploring the possibility of an initial public offering (IPO), targeting a valuation of approximately $2 billion.

In an interview this week in Davos, Switzerland, Ronghui Gu, co-founder of CertiK and an associate professor of computer science at Columbia University, stated that although a specific listing timeline has not been set, an IPO has become a clear goal for the company.

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in New York, CertiK primarily provides smart contract auditing and security services for blockchain projects. Its most recent funding round occurred in 2022, during which it raised $88 million in a Series B3 round co-led by Insight Partners, Tiger Global, and Advent International, achieving a valuation of $2 billion. Ronghui Gu mentioned that Binance is CertiK's earliest and currently largest financial supporter, with other investors including Coinbase and SoftBank.
