Ethereum ACDC Meeting #173: Glamsterdam Upgrade Faces Schedule Pressure
Odaily News The 173rd Ethereum Consensus Layer Core Developer Meeting indicated that to launch the Glamsterdam upgrade before mid-year, developers may need to significantly scale back the upgrade's scope. Although there has been no formal acknowledgment of a mismatch between planning and the timeline, if such an issue indeed exists, it will be resolved by the end of February.
Key discussion points from the meeting:
If an interoperable version of EIP-7732 cannot be achieved by the end of February, consideration will be given to removing it from Glamsterdam and postponing it to a future hard fork;
The Consensys Teku client discovered node performance issues during mainnet stress testing, affecting progress;
EIP-7928 requires a minor API review by client teams;
The proposal submission deadline for Hegota upgrade Headliner EIPs is February 4th;
Some client teams have completed preliminary work on the EIP-7688 library update.
