Jensen Huang Discusses Three Major Breakthroughs in AI Models Over the Past Year: Open-Source Models, Physical AI, and Agentic AI
Odaily News NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang discussed three major breakthroughs in AI models over the past year at the Davos Forum. "Three significant events occurred in the AI model layer last year. First, when models first emerged, there were many hallucinations, but last year, these models became applicable in research fields. They could reason, plan, and answer questions in areas they weren't specifically trained for, leading to the emergence of Agentic AI," Huang said. He stated that the second major breakthrough came from open-source models. The launch of the first open-source reasoning model, DeepSeek, was a significant event for most industries and companies. Since then, the open-source reasoning model ecosystem has begun to flourish, enabling many companies, research institutions, and educators to utilize open-source models for various tasks. Huang noted that the third area of substantial progress is Physical AI. Physical AI can not only understand language but also comprehend the physical world, such as biological proteins, chemistry, and physics. In the physical domain, AI can understand fluid dynamics, particle physics, and quantum physics. (Yicai) (Jin10 Data APP)
