Shielded Labs Receives $1.2 Million ZEC Donation from Winklevoss Twins to Support Zcash Network

Odaily News Shielded Labs announced on platform X that it has received a donation of 3,221 ZEC, valued at approximately $1.2 million, from Tyler Winklevoss and Cameron Winklevoss. These funds will be allocated to support core initiatives such as the network sustainability mechanism, Crosslink, and dynamic fees, aiming to enhance the long-term security, sustainability, and scalability of the Zcash network. This marks the second donation from Tyler Winklevoss and Cameron Winklevoss to the organization, following their initial donation in 2023 to support the formation of the dedicated Crosslink team. Shielded Labs is a Switzerland-based Zcash support organization whose funding is entirely sourced from donations and operates independently of the developer fund and block rewards.
