X Launches Original Article Reward Campaign, with Single Articles Eligible for Up to $1 Million

Odaily News On January 18th, the official X creator account @XCreators announced that X's creator revenue payout at the end of 2025 reached a new high since the monetization program's launch. It also announced plans to increase incentives for original written content. The platform stated that 2026 is being positioned as the "Year of the Creator," with a strategic focus on long-form content like articles. Additionally, plans are underway to launch a more detailed Creator Studio earnings overview dashboard.

The announcement revealed that in the next round of reward payouts, X will distribute an extra $1 million reward to the most outstanding original articles. Eligible articles must be original content with a minimum of 1,000 words. The primary evaluation metric will be impressions on the home timeline. Participation is currently limited to users in the United States. Articles violating platform policies, containing hate speech, fraud, or manipulative content are ineligible. The qualifying publication window for articles is from January 16th to January 28th.
