Solana Co-founder Responds to Vitalik's "Exit Test" Narrative: If Solana Stops Meeting User and Developer Needs, It Will Perish
Odaily News According to a post on X by toly, co-founder of Solana Labs, in response to Vitalik Buterin's view that "Ethereum itself must pass the exit test," he expressed a different opinion. He stated that Solana needs continuous iteration and evolution and should not rely on any single team or individual. However, if it stops adapting to the needs of developers and users, Solana will head towards demise. toly pointed out that Solana must possess broad and genuine human use cases and be widely adopted by developers, enabling it to generate substantial revenue from on-chain transaction value. This would create a positive feedback loop, allowing more resources (such as LLM token credit) to be invested in upstream improvements to this general-purpose open-source protocol. He emphasized that the primary goal of protocol changes should be to solve practical problems faced by developers or users, rather than pursuing coverage of all needs. Choosing "not to solve" most problems is itself necessary.
