Trump said, "Hassett did well on TV, I want him to stay in his current position. We'll see." Trump added, "Fed officials don't talk much, but Hassett is very articulate." Following Trump's remarks, the U.S. Dollar Index DXY quickly surged over 20 points, while spot gold and silver plunged.
