Riot Platforms Sells 1,080 BTC to Purchase Rockdale Site for Data Center Project Development

Odaily News: Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms announced that it has sold 1,080 Bitcoins and used the proceeds of approximately $96 million to purchase the Rockdale site, aiming to develop a data center project. Additionally, the company has signed a data center leasing and services agreement with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). This agreement will deploy 25 megawatts of critical IT load capacity at the Rockdale campus, with the initial deployment to be carried out in phases, starting in January 2026 and completing in May 2026.
