Kaito Founder Responds, Stating Legal Notice Received from X on January 14, Emphasizing Decision Adjustment Had a Reasonable Time Context

2026-01-16 08:15

Odaily News: Kaito founder Yu Hu disclosed a more complete timeline regarding the recent controversy on the X platform. He stated that on January 13, he first received an email from an account manager indicating that related matters might be re-evaluated. Subsequently, on January 14, he formally received a legal notice from X and responded on the same day. On January 15, he learned about the related content released by Nikita simultaneously with the public.

Yu Hu mentioned that Kaito had previously received legal notices from X and had resolved them properly. Therefore, in this incident, given the short time window, it was a reasonable decision to wait for further clarification and communication before making any unilateral public statement. He also confirmed that Yaps has now been shut down, but this adjustment will not affect Kaito Launchpad, Kaito Pro, Kaito API, or the upcoming Kaito Markets.

Furthermore, Yu Hu stated that Kaito plans to drive cross-platform expansion through Kaito Studio by 2026, covering channels such as TikTok and YouTube, and to explore business directions beyond the cryptocurrency field. He revealed that Kaito Studio has been in preparation for several months and will serve as a new model to supplement Yaps. More roadmap details will be announced subsequently.
