Zcash Foundation Deploys 5 DNS Seed Nodes in Response to ECC Node Service Shutdown
Odaily News: The Zcash Foundation has officially announced the deployment of five new DNS seed nodes in the United States and Europe. This move is in response to the scheduled shutdown of DNS seed nodes operated by the Electric Coin Company (ECC) on January 8th. The newly deployed nodes are located in South Carolina and Oregon in the US, as well as in Belgium, Germany, and Finland in Europe.
As of now, including existing seed nodes, the total number of seed nodes operated by the Zcash Foundation has reached six. This initiative aims to ensure reliable node discovery for users and improve the startup performance of wallets and nodes. Furthermore, the Zcash Foundation is considering further deployments in other regions to enhance coverage and reliability. Shielded Labs is also actively working on deploying additional seed nodes.
